Questions-spurning us on forward.
Toward degrees.
Masterpieces.
Does Jesus weep-
to sit at our feet?
Hold us close,
wipe every tear from our eye.
Telling us why not die
in order to live?
The struggle is to recall
those ancient past-
who put us on the path of sin
and murkiness.
The great divorce-
has run its course,
of life and death
and half a breadth.
What about the rest?

Choose life,
this day not die,
forgive.
This day to live.
The ancients stand
and rend a verdict.
