Prophets foretold
in ages old,
of a Samuel
generation.
That would lead the nation-
in fierce battle to stand,
at our Lord's command.
Halting sin,
gracing Him,
to be free to reign
in liberty once again.

i do not believe that jesus ever said to stop others from sinning. i believe he addressed only those who believed in him and in his father, only those who already had faith, then he told them to stop sinning by their own free choice. it is false to go on military crusades to make other stop sinning, when their salvation can only come through grace and their own voluntary virtue, their own freewill. truth from torture is no truth at all.
after romans tortured him worse than mel gibson ever could, jesus still said nothing that pilate wanted to hear. because jesus knew that he himself was not his body, not the temple, not the boundaries of a nation.
jesus never wanted to save the whole world, only those who came from the father or who were able to "hear" his voice. there are many mansions in his father's house, and not all of them are for those who follow christ in "his" footsteps.
